Adult classes at Kaw Prairie most often happen in our Monday Night Live 90-minute classroom format-- balancing things like Love & Logic, Beth Moore studies, and Membership Classes every quarter, with other workshops & classes thrown in now and then. Here's the Spring 2010 line-up:
March-May 2010------
Beth Moore's Breaking Free
Join Kaw Prairie women's teachers Diane Chrislip & Susan Guilford as
they lead the newly re-designed Beth Moore video teaching series
Breaking Free at Kaw Prairie's Monday Night Live (first 3 Mondays of
each month) during March, April & May. It's a presentation & small-group breakout format,
with homework for each week. Free childcare is available with RSVP.
Contact Diane to RSVP or to just learn more!
Grief Disguised Support Group
Have you experienced a painful loss that you're looking for friends to
process with? Kaw Prairie's Grace Disguised Grief Group meets during
KP's Monday Night Live sessions (free childcare, too), 7-8:30pm the 1st
& 3rd Mondays of March, April & May. Jerry Sittser's A Grace Disguised is the featured text ($12 at the class) Email Thelma for more info.
March-April 2010------
Holy Spirit Living
Yes, Virginia, there really is a Holy Spirit, and KP teaching veteran will be leading a 6-week (March & April) Monday Night Live series on the Holy Spirit with both classroom and personal-study components: In class, we'll study who the Holy Spirit is, what our relationship is with Him can be, and how we can gain insight from Him as we read God’s word. We'll also learn a simple technique called SOAP that we'll be incorporating into the Daily Bible reading schedule, which will help open our hearts to the Holy Spirit so that we can learn to hear God better!
April 2010------
Exploring Membership
Pastor Dan will lead a 2-week Exploring Membership Class April 5-12 during Monday Night Live. You'll learn more about the Christian faith that we teach and grow in at Kaw Prairie, as well as the unique expression of Christian community God's growing through us here. Not everyone who takes the class decides to become a Covenanted Member, but it's a great way to learn more about the church if God leads you to join!
