Benefit Concert – Talent Show – Silent Auction

Hope, Help & Homes for Orphans

God was on the move on Saturday at Kaw Prairie through the hearts of many folks of all ages that were involved in the event, all over the building, and all over the country!   We are so thrilled to announce that with funds Neva had gathered before the event (about $1700) and funds from the event (about $3600!!!) we have not only reached, but EXCEEDED our goal of $5000 to build the home for kids in Haiti!!!  [The funds gathered beyond $5000 will become the beginning of our next Global Orphan Project!]  A huge heartfelt thanks to all who who poured love, sweat, brainpower, talent, and donations of every kind into this incredible adventure with us!  I have posted a little bit about it on my blog:  openspacesholyplaces.blogspot.com if you are interested.  There are also some pictures on facebook (please send me yours too if you can!).  This home will be the 10th and final home to fill the village that our friend Isabelle started with The Global Orphan Project.  Thank you so much for joining us on this incredible adventure!!  If you would like us to keep you posted on the project, just write us a quick note here.

Our family's hearts are full of huge humble gratitude this morning.  Now I'd better be off to help finish getting my kids their breakfast!  --Nancy (Neva's mom)

Neva is a 9-year-old kid with a small idea that God can take BIG! She and her parents are inspired by the many ways kids are helping kids all over the world. One changed heart, one bright idea, one dollar at a time. All funds received will go directly to Neva’s Global Orphan Project, building a home in Haiti for 10 orphaned children. The folks at The Global Orphan Project are a bunch of passionate people right here in KC giving great encouragement in phenomenal ways to third world communities all over the globe. Check out their many amazing projects at www.theglobalorphanproject.org!
