It shouldn't be complicated, really. Jesus died because He loved us,
right? But those of us who love someone know that living out our love
can get pretty complicated. From very early after Jesus' death and
resurrection, the perspectives on why Jesus had to die have
evolved--all grounded in Biblical truth, but illuminating different
parts of God's love for us, and drawing people of differing theological
points-of-view, too. For the final 3 weeks of Lent, Kaw Prairie will
get theological in a big-picture, cross-shaped way: Why is it that
Jesus had to die? And of course, how then should we live?
