I Have Questions Week 4
Let’s face it, life isn’t easy. In times of loss, grief, pain, or doubt, it’s normal to have questions — and it’s okay to ask them. If you’ve ever tried to make sense of your circumstances, or wished life didn’t have to hurt so much, or wondered why God won’t fix what you’re going through, you’re not alone. In this 4-week series, we’ll hear about a few people from Scripture who know exactly what it’s like. With Esther, David, Peter, Amos, and John, we’ll explore hard questions you thought you weren’t allowed to ask, like “When people are hurting, where is God? When I’m hurting, does God leave me? If God is good, why do bad things happen? And when life hurts, is God listening?“

Rad Week 4
When Jesus was on earth, he had a lot to say about love, but not everyone loved him. Instead, Jesus’ opponents hated him, attacked him, and saw him as extreme — dangerous — revolutionary — a radical. And they had a point! The things Jesus taught about loving God and loving others challenged the status quo and changed the world forever. That’s pretty radical. In this 4-week series from the book of James, we’ll look at four ways Jesus invites us to love according to his revolutionary example. These ideas might seem simple, but when we choose to listen more than we speak, refuse to play favorites, watch our words, and fight for peace, we’ll see just how radical Jesus’ teachings really are.

Royals Week 4
Have you ever wished you had a little bit more power — or influence — or control? Whether you dream about ruling the world or just wish you could get a little respect once in a while, the desire to be in charge is something we’ve all experienced. But in this 4-week series, we’ll hear about a few kings from the Bible whose stories show us power isn’t always easy to yield. Through their failures and successes, we’ll discover that when you make mistakes, God can help make things right; when you think you know best, be humble instead; when you’re not sure who to listen to, ask God for guidance; and when obedience is difficult, stay close to Jesus.

Look and See Week 4
Maybe you’ve heard the saying “seeing is believing”? It’s a popular phrase because seeing something for yourself can change your perspective and your beliefs. We don’t always have to see things for ourselves but it sure does help! For teenagers who are developing their identities while they develop their faith it’s important for them to have conversations about encountering Jesus on their own. Look and See is an invitation for students to realize their faith and experience Jesus for themselves. God will give them strength to follow Jesus as someone they can believe, and someone who can teach them new things. And, what’s better, God can use their story to help another person see Jesus too.

Back to the Future Week 4
The Bible has a time machine feel, an ability to teach students about the past, present, and future simultaneously. It’s the story of God who exists outside of time and who has had a plan to save us since before we (or even the universe) even existed. 2,000 years ago, God came to earth in the form of a man named Jesus, but prophets like Isaiah had been leaving us hints about God’s plan hundreds of years before that. And what was that plan? To set us free from brokenness and death. To make wrong things right. Before time even began, Jesus’ mission was to set people free. Jesus came to rebuild what has been destroyed. Jesus calls us to do justice, and Jesus calls us to remember.

Anthem Week 4
There are opportunities to worship God everywhere but they might be easily missed in a world full of images that show worship being done behind microphones and on stages. While that kind of worship is good, it isn’t the only kind of worship we need. The book of Psalms leads the theme of this series, and will help students find their unique “anthems” worshipping God with all of creation, while remembering what God has done, even when it’s difficult, and because we’re God’s family.
