Our Team

Lead Pastor
Pastor Clare Lozano

What do you enjoy most about your job? I love the opportunity to speak and embody grace in people's lives, wherever they are in the midst of their journey. I love helping people discern what God is up to in their lives, as they discover and live into God's purposes for them. I also deeply love that work when it comes to our whole community, as we discern and grow into God's purposes for us.

What makes KP awesome? KP just has a vibe that cannot be beat. It's a vibrant community marked by its authenticity and heart. People aren't here to just go through the motions, but are earnestly seeking after God. The Spirit is present and on the move in this community, which makes it a place I want to be.

Favorite bible verse(s) It is hard to just choose one - for ministry I love Ephesians 3:20 - "Glory to God, who is able to do far beyond all that we could ask or imagine by his power at work within us." Personally, Psalm 62:6-7 has been very meaningful in my adult life, "Truly, wait quietly for God, O my soul, for my hope comes from him. He is my rock and deliverance, my haven; I shall not be shaken."

In my free time, I like to.... Travel, hike, read, care for the animals on our small farm, and cheer our girls on from the sidelines. One of my favorite things is having a good meal with good friends or dear family where you linger at the table long after the meal is done.

Three things I can't live without Jesus' grace, wide open spaces, and Birkenstocks.

Who has made a big impact in my life? Why? My daughters. The why to that is way more complicated than a bio can hold, but I am a freer, truer, more joy-filled version of myself today because of them.

I want my last meal to be... My mother-in-law's queso fresco enchiladas, with avocado and a bowl of my husband's "world famous" borracho beans.

What I want my younger me to know Oh girl, you are more than enough just for who you are. Rest in God's love and grace for you and from there live the life God has for you to live.
