On Sunday, we read Jesus' parable of the Good Samaritan found in Luke 10:25-37. Chuck Armstrong looked at Martin Luther King Jr.'s final sermon, which was also focused on this passage, and helped us see what it means to truly live out our faith. Compassion over coercion doesn't simply mean being nicer to people when we try to share our faith; it means actually living out our faith in a compassionate, loving, caring way, identifying with the pain and suffering in this world, just as the Samaritan did on the Jericho Road in the first century and Dr. King did in Memphis in 1968.
