Rock Bottom: Belonging

Yesterday we spent time with the Parable of the Prodigal Son that reveals to us that belonging is left when everything else falls away, for that is what the prodigal learned as he returned home in the middle of his rock bottom. We also spent time thinking about what the Father in the parable reveals to us about God’s parenting style (head’s up, God is not a helicopter parent) and dug into how there was more than one “lost” son in the parable. Pastor Clare also shared a modern-day version of the prodigal story that can be found in the story arc of one of Ted Lasso’s central characters. If you missed it, click the link below to tune in!
